Geelani’s son taken to hospital; Hurriyat threatens legal action against NIA

Dr Naeem Geelani, the elder son of Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, was taken to a hospital on Sunday after he complained of chest pain, a party spokesman said.

The spokesman said that Naeem Geelani was scheduled to visit New Delhi for the NIA investigation into alleged terror funding by him and others, and had also booked a flight in this regard.

The spokesman claimed that repeated “psychological pressure” may have had adverse effects on his health.

Denying reports of having unauthorised, illegal or disproportionate property, the Hurriyat hawk said his daughters are married and his two sons Dr Naeem Gilani and Naseem Gilani have no illegal assets.

The statement also said that Syed Ali Shah Geelani had called an emergency press conference at his Hyderpora residence to refute the allegations, but the police and the state administration prevented media from entering his residence.

इंडियन एयरफोर्स को MiG-35 फाइटर जेट बेचना चाहता है रूस, बातचीत जारी

जूकोवस्की (रूस).रूस ने कहा है कि वो इंडियन एयरफोर्स को अपने नए फाइटर जेट MiG-35 बेचना चाहता है। रूस में इन दिन एमएकेएस- 2017 एयर शो चल रहा है। इस शो के दौरान दुनिया की बड़ी फाइटर जेट कंपनियां अपने लड़ाकू विमान पेश करती हैं। एयर शो के दौरान MiG के सीईओ ने भारत को अपने MiG-35 फाइटर जेट्स बेचने की पेशकश की।भारत से बातचीत जारी...

- MiG कॉर्पोरेशन के सीईओ इल्या टारेशेंको ने कहा- हमने इसी साल जनवरी में MiG-35 को भारत की जरूरतों के मद्देनजर तैयार किया है। 

- उन्होंने कहा- भारत से हमारी बातचीत चल रही है। हम उनकी जरूरतों को ध्यान में रखते हुए कुछ टेक्निकल स्पेसिफिकेशन जेट्स में डाल सकते हैं। ये बिल्कुल नए फाइटर जेट्स हैं, लिहाजा भारत को क्या जरूरत है, इसे समझने और फिर उन्हें पूरा करने के लिए कुछ वक्त तो जरूर लगेगा। 
- टारेंशेंको ने कहा- आफ्टर सेल सर्विस के हिसाब से ये बहुत किफायती जेट है।

निंग भी देंगे
- टारेशेंको ने कहा- हम सिर्फ एयरक्राफ्ट ही नहीं देंगे। बल्कि इसके सही इस्तेमाल के लिए ट्रेनिंग और लंबे वक्त तक सर्विस देने की भी गांरटी देते हैं। 
- उन्होंने कहा कि MiG-35 अपने दौर के बाकी एयरक्राफ्ट्स की तुलना में 25 फीसदी तक सस्ता है। जबकि इसके फीचर सबसे शानदार हैं। 
- इस फाटर जेट के लीड टेस्ट पायलट बेलेव्यू मिखाइल ने कहा- ये एयर टू एयर, एयर टू सी और एयर टू ग्राउंड एक जैसी ताकत के साथ ऑपरेट कर सकता है। इसका कॉकपिट इस तरीके से बनाया गया ताकि रात में भी कोई दिक्कत ना आए।

Israel to replace metal detectors in Jerusalem with smart surveillance

Jerusalem: Israel decided on Tuesday to remove metal detectors it had placed at the entrance to a holy site in Jerusalem`s Old City and replace them with smart, less obtrusive surveillance means, a Cabinet statement said.

Israel installed metal detectors at entry points to Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem after two police officers were fatally shot on July 14, triggering the bloodiest clashes between Israelis and Palestinians in years.

Tuesday`s decision to remove the metal detector gates was an about-turn after the rightist Netanyahu, wary of being seen to capitulate to Palestinian pressure, said on Sunday the devices would stay put.

But on top of the outbreak of violence mainly in the Jerusalem area, a Palestinian move on Friday by President Mahmoud Abbas to suspend official contacts and international criticism put pressure on Israel.

Netanyahu was further hampered following a fatal shooting incident at the Israeli embassy in Jordan on Sunday when an Israeli security guard was attacked and shot dead two Jordanians.

Jordan is the custodian of Jerusalem`s Muslim holy sites, which Jews revere as the vestige of their two ancient temples and which was among East Jerusalem areas Israel captured in a 1967 war and annexed as its capital in a move not recognised internationally.

जेएनएन, चंडीगढ़। भाजपा अध्यक्ष अमित शाह अपने हरियाणा दौरे के दौरान मंत्रियों के कामकाज का बारीकी से आकलन करेंगे। हर मंत्री से उनके मंत्रालय के कामकाज का पूरा रिपोर्ट कार्ड लेने के साथ ही भविष्य में किए जाने वाले तीन बड़े कामों की जानकारी तलब की जाएगी। भाजपा अध्यक्ष मंत्रियों के रिपोर्ट कार्ड पर पार्टी पदाधिकारियों, सांसदों और विधायकों से भी फीडबैक हासिल करेंगे। इसके बाद तय होगा कि कौन सा मंत्री भाजपा अध्यक्ष की कसौटी पर खरा उतरा और कौन से मंत्री को और मेहनत किए जाने की जरूरत है।

शाह के हरियाणा दौरे के मद्देनजर रिपोर्ट कार्ड तैयार कर रहे मंत्री

भाजपा अध्यक्ष 2 से 4 अगस्त तक हरियाणा के दौरे पर आने वाले हैं। पहले दो दिन उन्हें चंडीगढ़ और आखिरी दिन रोहतक में रहकर सरकार तथा संगठन के कामकाज की समीक्षा करनी थी, लेकिन अब शाह तीनों दिन रोहतक में ही रहेंगे। अगले विधानसभा और लोकसभा चुनाव एक साथ होने की संभावनाओं के मद्देनजर शाह का हरियाणा दौरा काफी अहम माना जा रहा है।

भाजपा अध्यक्ष खुद को सुधारक बताने वाले हरियाणा के असंतुष्ट विधायकों की बात भी सुन सकते हैं। हालांकि मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल कह चुके कि राज्य में कोई भाजपा विधायक असंतुष्ट नहीं है और हर विधायक की अपने हलके में अधिक से अधिक काम कराने की इच्छा होती है। ऐसे विधायकों की बात को सुनने के बाद हलकों के विकास की परियोजनाएं तेज कर दी गई हैं।

भाजपा अध्यक्ष राज्य के केंद्रीय मंत्रियों, सांसदों और मंत्रियों के साथ-साथ प्रमुख पदाधिकारियों से भी अलग-अलग बातचीत करेंगे। एक दिन पूरा कार्यकर्ताओं के लिए होगा। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल, भाजपा प्रभारी डा. अनिल जैन, प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सुभाष बराला और महामंत्री संगठन सुरेश भट्ट से भी अलग-अलग बात होगी। सत्री मंत्रियों के साथ शाह अलग-अलग समय लगाएंगे, जिसके बाद सरकार और संगठन का काम तेज गति पकड़ेगा।

T rex dinosaur could not have run at high speed: Study

London: The size and weight of the giant T rex dinosaur would have made the fearsome carnivore unable to run at very high speeds, according to a new study which proves that a classic chase scene from the Jurassic Park movie was scientifically inaccurate.

In Stephen Spielberg's original adaptation of the Jurassic Park, a rampant Tyrannosaurus rex (T rex) is shown chasing Jeff Goldblum's character, Ian Malcolm, as he sits injured in the back of a 4x4 vehicle.

"However, different studies using differing methodologies have produced a very wide range of top speed estimates and we say there is a need to develop techniques that can improve these predictions," Sellers said.
"Here we present a new approach that combines two separate biomechanical techniques to demonstrate that true running gaits would probably lead to unacceptably high skeletal loads in T rex," he said.
The results also mean that the T rex could not pursue its prey in a high-speed chase as previously thought.
"Being limited to walking speeds contradicts arguments of high-speed pursuit predation for the largest bipedal dinosaurs like T rex and demonstrates the power of Multiphysics approaches for locomotor reconstructions of extinct animals," he added.
Although the research focuses on the T rex, the findings also means running at high speeds were probably highly unlikely for other large two-legged dinosaurs such as, Giganotosaurus, Mapusaurus, and Acrocanthosaurus.
"Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the largest bipedal animals to have ever evolved and walked the earth," Sellers said.
"So it represents a useful model for understanding the biomechanics of other similar animals. Therefore, these finding may well translate to other long-limbed giants so but this idea should be tested alongside experimental validation work on other bipedal species," he said.

Hoax bomb call creates scare at Calcutta High Court

Kolkata: Security authorities were on Thursday thrown in a tizzy after a bomb scare at the Calcutta High Court premises.

"Justice Dipankar Dutta's office got a phone call around 2 p.m. that bombs planted at different chambers on the High Court premises will go off any time. However, the call turned out to be a hoax," Joint commissioner Police Supratim Sarkar said.

"A bomb squad, along with sniffer dogs, was rushed to the premises but no trace of any bomb or explosives was found even after a thorough search till evening," he said.

Police said it is trying to trace the caller who played the prank.

Chinese planes block American plane in East China Sea, US says

WASHINGTON: Two Chinese SU-30 air ship done what the US military portrayed on Thursday as an "amateurish" capture of a US airplane intended to distinguish radiation while it was flying in global airspace over the East China Sea.
